Introducing: The Orlando Pirates
Upon the completion of the 2025 season in Lowell, MA, the Massachusetts Pirates announced a move to Orlando, rebranding to the Orlando Pirates to play out of the Kia Center. The primary focus of the offseason was to establish the new branding and begin solidifying Pirate Nation in a new region, leading up to the inaugural season, in a region prime for arena football based on its long-standing history with the game.


Introducing: The Orlando Pirates
One of the major aspects of the rebrand was the development of new logos and a branding identity to represent the Pirates' new home. With direct feedback from ownership, the new logo kit honors the "Arthur" mascot while incorporating new fonts and a design layout to represent the new area of Orlando, FL.
Developed in Adobe Illustrator, the complete logo kit needed to be completed before a November 2025 press conference at the Kia Center, in which the new team name and branding were revealed to the public.

Orlando: Home of the Sirens
Shifting along with the main Pirates brand was also the dance team of the organization, previously known as the Massachusetts Pirates Cheerleaders. A strong effort was put forth to provide the dance team with strong branding power for merchandise and brand recognition going into the inaugural season at the Kia Center.
Also developed in Adobe Illustrator, this professional dance team logo kit needed to be completed in conjunction with the Orlando Pirates kit, in time for the press conference in November 2025.

Orlando Pirates Assets
A rebuild of all internal assets became critical as soon as the relocation to Orlando was developed, creating an instant need for updated sponsorship decks, proposals, business cards & more. Mockups of the Kia Center also played an extremely important role in selling sponsorships and securing deals to establish a strong foundation for the team.
Developed mainly in Adobe Photoshop, these assets are currently playing an important role in developing relationships and partnerships in the new Orlando market for the organization.

Return of "The Bay"
Merchandise and apparel have always been an important channel for revenue, especially in professional sports. To coincide with the November 2025 announcement of the rebranding, a new online Pro Shop for Pirates fans was developed in WordPress from scratch, allowing fans the ability to purchase memorabilia and merchandise directly from the organization's inventory stock.

Legendary Players, Legendary Moments
A team with as many recognizable players and talent on and off the field should have a way to recognize the individuals who helped shape the organization. In 2025, we developed the inaugural Hall of Fame for the Pirates as they prepared for their move to Orlando and sought a way to honor those who excelled during the organization's time in Massachusetts. A new fan voting system was established for the inaugural nominee class of 16 individuals, along with new branding and a potential plan for honoring those inducted.
